Former England midfielder Craig Bellamy has said that he is keen to sign a deal with Everton to replace the departing Michael Owen, according to the Daily Mirror.

He added: “My favourite thing is getting two points and scoring a goal in the Europa League last season and then getting into a Champions League place, so that’s pretty exciting.”
Everton last season finished 18th in the Premier League, while being knocked out at the final hurdle of the League Cup by Chelsea.
Saints and Liverpool were also close to signing the England U23 international this season, with a reported fee of £4m (€5.9m) reportedly being on the table.
